The Board of Directors is committed to filling the vacancies on boards, commission and committees with qualified and dedicated Alabama Firefighters Association members who have an interest in working to move Alabama fire service forward. Members of these boards, commission and committees are vital participants in policy making, regulation, advisory and advocacy efforts for a wide variety of issues affecting firefighters.
If you are interested in serving, simply complete the online application or send a letter, along with a résumé, to AFA expressing your desire to serve. You should specify the boards, commission or committees in which you are interested and explain why you are qualified or experienced in the area of the board’s activity. Many have similar names, so be sure to state the full and correct name of your board preference. Please send your information to:

If you would like to submit a recommendation of someone for the Board of Directors consideration of appointment, simply complete the online form. Please be sure the person you are nominating is interested in appointment to this boards, commission and committees and is able and willing to serve. Your nominee should also apply online.
