Legislative Update SB134 (From Allen Rice)…

Alabama Fire Service:
We are making great headway with the Fire College legislation, thanks to the support that we have received from all of the fire service groups in the state. The next step will be to get the current bill, Senate Bill 134, passed out of the House committee next Wednesday, March 7th. We need as many people as possible to call the members of the committee before next Wednesday and ask them to pass SB 134. When you call, please tell them that all of the following organizations support this legislation:

* Alabama Association of Volunteer Fire Departments

* Alabama Association of Fire Chiefs

* Alabama Firefighters Association

* Professional Firefighters of Alabama

* Firefighters Personnel Standards Commission

* Alabama Joint Fire Council

* Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us push this over the goal line.
