Alabama Fire Service:
We are making great headway with the Fire College legislation, thanks to the support that we have received from all of the fire service groups in the state. The next step will be to get the current bill, Senate Bill 134, passed out of the House committee next Wednesday, March 7th. We need as many people as possible to call the members of the committee before next Wednesday and ask them to pass SB 134. When you call, please tell them that all of the following organizations support this legislation:

Alabama Firefighters Association is please to be a partner in the Sound the Alarm program.

The ICC received a Fire Prevention & Safety Grant to implement Sound the Alarm, and the NVFC is assisting with the execution of this pilot program.

Through Sound the Alarm, teams from Baker Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Eutaw Fire Department, Lower Peach Tree VFD, Priceville Volunteer Fire Department, Uniontown VFD and Waterloo Fire Rescue members, conduct home safety checks, install smoke alarms, and complete follow up evaluations.
