Walter Drinkard 2004 Recipient of the Captain Drake Award

Walter Drinkard was awarded the 2004 Captain Drake Award at the AFA Conference held in Trussville, AL. Walter, a life long member of the Trussville Volunteer Fire Department and the AFA, was a worthy recipient of the award. Members are nominated based on their dedication and outstanding service to the Fire Service. Walter has served in many capacities throughout his career. He was a Past President, Secretary, Treasurer, Chaplain, National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) Representative for AFA, served as the Treasurer directly for the NVFC, held just about all the administrative ranks within the Trussville Fire Department along with positions on the Trussville Fire Department Board of Directors. Walter continues to serve with Trussville today. Congratulations to Walter Drinkard for his Outstanding Service for Alabama’s Fire Service.
