Email is one way AFA communicates important information, if you listed an email address on your application and have not received any emails, send an email to aa@alfire.com with your name and email address. Several addresses are returned stating that the email failed to send, help us get this corrected so you will receive any important messages.

Forestry is experiencing very difficult times with cut-backs and closures of some of their offices. These measurers that forestry had to take will be felt by everyone that uses their services. Many departments will have to dig in harder until forestry assistants can arrive to help, as many of the workers will respond from other counties and or other fires. If you come in contact with any of the forestry personnel please let them know you appreciate them.
-
AFA is preparing a bill for the 2011 legislative year that will require all fire departments in Alabama to register with the Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office each year and will set minimum requirements for incident reporting, for more information on this proposed bill FD’s Register/Reporting Information
